God’s Word
Jesus Christ the Word who became flesh(John 1:1)
“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart,
with all your soul, & with all your mind.’
This is the first and great commandment & the second is like it:
‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’
On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
Matthew 22:37-40 (New King James Version)
God is the Creator
Genesis 1: 1-31
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over
the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering
over the waters. And God said, "Let there be light," & there
was light. God saw that the light was good, and He separated
the light from the darkness. God called the light "day," and
the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and
there was morning—the first day.
God is the Creator
Isaiah 45:18
For this is what the LORD says—
He who created the heavens,
He is God; He who fashioned and made the earth,
He founded it; he did not create it to be empty,
but formed it to be inhabited—
He says:
"I am the LORD, and there is no other.”
God is the Creator
John 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was
made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was
the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the
darkness has not understood it.
God is the Creator
Isaiah 40:28
Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

Matthew 3:2-11, John 21:1-14
Waist deep in the swirling waters of the Jordan river, unshaven, dressed in
camels hair, & breath reeking of honey & wild locust's, stood one of the greatest
Prophets that has ever walked the earth. John the Baptist's message was simple,
scriptural & profoundly prophetic.
Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand..........
I indeed baptise you with water unto repentance,
but He who is coming after me is mightier than I,
whose sandals I am not worthy to carry.
He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit & fire.
(Matthew 3:2-11)

John 21:1-14
John the Baptist prophesied the coming day of Pentecost, when Jesus would
baptise His church with Holy wind & purifying fire.
Jesus Christ taught His disciples that He was the Son of God. Jesus foretold
that He would have to die on the cross, & be resurrected from the dead.
Yet after His death many of His closes followers went back to their menial jobs.
(John 21: 1-14)
Jesus rose from the dead three days after His death on the cross. He appeared
to His disciples many times after His resurrection.

Acts 1-8
Forty days after He rose from the dead, Jesus gathered His Apostles together
& commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had
promised.
....."Which," He said., "you have heard of from Me;
For John baptised with water, but you shall be baptised with the Holy Spirit
not many days from now." (Acts 1 : 4-5)
Jesus last recorded words have come to be known as the Great Commission,
"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;
& you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, & in all Judea and Samaria, &
to the end of the Earth." ( Acts 1-8 )
Holy Spirit Baptism Page 4
John 20:19-22 Acts 2:1
Jesus spoke these words to men that He had spent three years teaching.
The Apostles were born again believers.
They had already received the Holy Spirit. ( John 20:19-22 )
Yet the Apostle could not effectively witness and carry out the work that God
wanted without receiving something more, something that they did not have
prior to the Day of the Pentecost.
When the Day of the Pentecost had fully come, one hundred and twenty
believers gathered together in a room at Jerusalem.
The Bible tells us they were 'all with one accord.’ ( Acts 2:1 )

Matthew 22:34-40, Romans 13:8-10, Matthew 5:6-7
The day of Pentecost was an annual feast held by the Israelite people to
celebrate the giving of the law through Moses & their departure from Mount
Sinai. The word Pentecost means fiftieth day.
The contrasts between the Old Testament Pentecost & the New Testament
Pentecost are quite remarkable. In the Old Testament fifty days after the
Passover lamb was slain, the feast of Pentecost was celebrated. In the New
Testament fifty days after Jesus (the Lamb of God) was slain, God's people
experienced Pentecost. On the first day of Pentecost in the Old Testament,
Israel received the ten commandments on tablets of stone. On the New
Testament day God's people acquire God's commandments of love written on
the tablets of their hearts ( Matthew 22 : 34-40, Romans 13 : 8-10, Matthew 5 : 6-7)

Acts 2:2-4
At the New testament Pentecost, the disciples were waiting in the upper room
with an expectation that something was about to happen, when God manifested
Himself supernaturally. The Holy Bible says:
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind,
and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire,
and one sat upon each of them.
And they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other Tongues,
as the spirit gave them utterance. (Acts 2: 2-4)
Holy Spirit Baptism Page 7
Acts 2:6-13
This mighty rushing wind roared out across the sleepy city street of Jerusalem
early that morning like a 747 flying low over the roof tops.
The scripture says ' And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together
,...' ( Acts 2:6-13 )
People came from the surrounding vicinity to see where this cacophonous wind
was coming from & they (the multitude) were confused because everyone heard
them (the 120) speak in his own language. (Acts 2 : 6-13)
The one hundred and twenty disciples had received the Baptism of the Holy
Spirit and the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ was born.

Acts 2:17
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit enabled the disciples to witness with holy
boldness and was the commencement of Joel’s prophecy
And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh. ( Acts 2:17 )
According to scripture if a person is truly Baptised in the Holy Spirit they will
speak in tongues and receive a holy boldness to witness about the Lord Jesus.

Acts
In the book of Acts, there are five occasions when people received the Baptism
in the Holy Spirit and all people who received this infilling spoke in tongues.
1. Day of Pentecost, the 120 (Acts 9 : 17)
2. At Samaria, the Samaritans ( Acts 8 : 11-24)
3. At Damascus, Paul (Acts 9 : 17)
' I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all; ' ( 1 Cor 14 : 18)
4. At Caesarea, Cornelius (Acts 10 : 44)
5. At Ephesus, The Elders ( Acts 19 : 1-7)

Acts
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a definite experience of which one may & ought
to know whether he or she has received. It is evident from Acts 8:15-16, where we
are distinctly told that the Holy Spirit had not as yet fallen upon any of them.
To the little group of disciples at Ephesus, Paul put the definite question
"Did ye receive the Holy Spirit when ye believed ? " (Acts 19:2 RV)
It is evident that the receiving of the Holy Spirit was an experience so definite that
one could answer yes or no to the question whether he had received the Holy
Spirit. In this case the disciples definitely answered no. (Acts 19:2)
The Bible is clear as day on the Baptism with the Holy Spirit, as on every other
point. It sets forth an experience so definite & so real that one can answer yes or
no to the question. "Have you received the Holy Spirit"

The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it,
but do not know where it comes from and where it is going;
so is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
God is a Spirit
Genesis 1:26
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to
Our likeness;
You are a spirit you have a soul ( mind emotions) & you live in

through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept
blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting
Father, Prince of Peace.

He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything
new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are
trustworthy and true."
He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the
Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink
without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who
overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be
my son.

Jesus is God
Philippians 2: 5-11 KJV
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and
was made in the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient
unto death, even the death of the cross.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is
above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and
things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory
of God the Father.
Jesus is God
Colossians 2:8-10 NIV
See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and
deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and
the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,
and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head
over every power and authority.
Jesus is God
John 14:5-14 NIV
Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us."
Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among
you such a long time? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How
can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Don't you believe that I Am in the Father,
and that the Father is in Me? The words I say to you are not just My own.
Rather, it is the Father, living in Me, who is doing his work. Believe Me when I
say that I Am in the Father and the Father is in Me; or at least believe on the
evidence of the miracles themselves. I tell you the truth, anyone who has
faith in Me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things
than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask
in My name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask Me
for anything in My name, and I will do it.
...Faith Hope & Love. But the greatest of these is Love.(1Corith 13:13)
